Mindfulness is also good for kids. There is an emerging body of research that indicates that mindfulness can help children improve their abilities to pay attention, calm down when they are upset, and to make better decisions; helping them increase emotional regulation and cognitive focus.
This 8 lesson curriculum can be utilized either in a large group setting (like a classroom) or in a smaller group intervention format. It was piloted in a number of classrooms with 22-26 children and easily adapted to varying numbers of children with varying backgrounds.
