Description

Use this mindfulness board game to help kids and young adults practice mindfulness and learn to feel calm. With over 130 unique cards and activities, learners will practice guided mindfulness activities, deep breathing practice, positive affirmations, and more. This game can be a helpful tool to teach kids and young adults how to calm their bodies and minds.

How to Play

Students can play in groups of two to four. Students will take turns rolling the dice and moving forward on the game board. When they land on a spot, they will use the picture to tell them which card to pick up and read. Students will read the card and discuss the question or act out the strategy to practice. Once a card is completed, it can be returned to the bottom of the pile. Then, the next player will go. Because the game includes over 130 unique cards, the game can be played again and again!

Cards and Activities Included

Each set of cards targets mindfulness in a different and fun way:

  • Be Mindful - Practice mindfulness with a guided activity
  • Just Breathe - Practice deep breathing techniques
  • In the Moment - Act out or discuss how you could use mindfulness in different situations
  • Positive Words - Use positive affirmations to calm the mind and stay in a healthy mindset

Note that three versions are included: color version, color version with white backgrounds, and black/white version.

Why Teach Mindfulness

Mindfulness is learning how to clear your mind and focus on the present moment. Rather than thinking about what happened earlier in the day or worrying about what might happen in the future, mindfulness helps you to focus on the now. This is an important skill for kids and young adults because it can help them to manage their emotions, improve their focus, cope with stress, and feel calmer.

Research has shown many positive outcomes when you practice mindfulness. People of all ages and abilities can practice.
