Many schools around the country have seen the benefits of teaching mindfulness to our students: decreased behavior problems, better academic performance, stronger emotional regulation, etc. Use these journal prompts to help foster mindfulness in your elementary classroom!
There are two levels of difficulty for each prompt. Use one level or both levels of prompts to differentiate within your own classroom!
I recommend having a class discussion before assigning each prompt so that students have a chance to write quality responses and demonstrate real understanding of the topic.
