PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Mindfulness is the conscious state of being aware of the present moment. This resource provides seven sessions that allow students to consider their own senses and who they are. Each session consists of an audio track on a PowerPoint that encourages students to reflect quietly on a given topic for five minutes. A simple activity follows but is not obligatory.
Mindfulness has the potential to create a classroom atmosphere that fosters learning through each individual being aware of the contribution they and others make to the learning environment.
Each session in this particular resource links to the sights, smells, sounds, taste and touch associated with the school that are often overlooked in the business of each day. It provides a chance to connect with their role in the environment around them.
