Mindfulness can directly impact on behavior. This series of seven sessions challenges students to reflect on the conduct that can directly have a bearing on the classroom. There are things that are said and done within a classroom over which we have control. And there are things said and done by others where we can only control our response. This awareness may help students modify their own behavior, especially if they become more conscious of the type of person they are and how they are likely to react.
The opportunity to reflect for five minutes is a quiet moment in the day that can have a profound impact on the classroom as a whole over time.
Each session also comes with a simple activity which can be used at the teacher’s discretion.
