Mindset...Test 1, 2, 3 Card Sort for use with Easel by TpT Growth Mindset

Teachers have been using song lyrics to engage students in their lessons.  Using lyrics helps ground the lesson and make it more relevant to students.  Our “Mindset... Test 1, 2, 3 Card Sort for use with Easel by TpT” takes the power of song lyrics and uses them to help students learn the difference between a Growth Mindset and a Fixed Mindset. When students analyze song lyrics, it encourages them to examine mindset in a relevant way in the real world. Using Easel by TpT, students manipulate the digital “cards” with the failures on them and move them to the correct person. 

Card sorts compel students to analyze, interpret, compare, classify, make connections, and draw conclusions around topics.  When implementing a card sort in small groups or pairs, they promote collaboration and communication among students, and above all they serve as a medium through which to organize and synthesize ideas.  This card sort is perfect for online, blended, or even in-person learning, especially during remote learning.  All too often secondary teachers are left out of quality, hands-on manipulative resources.  It is our hope this card sort will fill a gap in the marketplace.
