The Minecraft Behavior chart is perfect for students who need a little encouragement to complete work, stay on task and follow classroom expectations.
Send forms home to be signed each day and it also serves as a great way to communicate to parents and to track data on behaviors throughout the day!
You can utilize a modified check in/check out system throughout the day (after specific periods of the day) to provide positive reinforcement in the form of a checkmark on the behavior chart.
The Student is working for points and when 10 points are earned the student receives a high interest positive reinforcement (preferred activity, break, sticker).
Specific behaviors targeted include work completion and following classroom expectations. The student can earn points for attempting work (1 point), completing work (additional point), following classroom expectations (additional point) for a total of 3 possible points during that block of time.
The student will also be able to visually track his or her performance and progress throughout the day so as to become more self-aware of his/her actions and the outcome.
Also included is a Minecraft Creeper face coloring sheet which can be used in conjunction with the chart (ie. color in a square each time you get to 10 points) or separately as a way to encourage stamina (color in a square for the number of minutes read or on task).
