Activity Directions

Inferencing WH Questions: Page 4-5. Twelve illustrated inferential WH questions.

WH Questions: Pages 5-6. Fifteen illustrated basic WH questions cards.

Nouns: Page 7. Nine targeted noun cards from the book are included.

Verbs: Page 8. Nine targeted verb cards from the book are included.

Opposites: Page 9. Four sets of opposite cards are included.

Category Sorting: Pages 10-11. Sort the items into the correct location based on the category.

Attribute Describing: Pages 12-14. Use the describing poster on page 14 to describe an item in the suitcase. You can use this expressively or receptively depending on your students’ goals for describing attributes.

Pronoun Flamingos: Pages 15-17. Use the sentence strips on page 17 to give the birds the toys while you work on pronouns.

Flamingo Dot Pages: Pages 18-34. Use dot markers to decorate the phonology pages. A characters page and blank page are also included.
