This is a quick way to assess counting using ten and five frames or an easy way to practice counting using frames.
The idea is that students will quickly see and know the different amounts without having to count - subitizing, while they play the game.
There are two games spin and fill 5 frames and spin and fill 10 frames.
To play the game, make a spinner from a small paper clip and a pencil, place them on top of the numbered circle inside of the sun, then flick the paper clip around the pencil, once the paper clip stops on a number, the student will choose a 5 or 10 frame to fill with the amount that matches the numeral spun with dots from a dry erase marker. Continue the steps of the game until all of the frames are filled.
Ex. spin the number 4, fill a 5 or 10 frame with 4 dots.
Each game comes in color and black and white, this set is a part of my Simple Counting Games 0 - 10 for summer
