These fun worksheets were created to help my beginner piano students with note-naming when they start moving to reading notes on the grand staff and were a hit! The worksheets feature notes around middle C (bass clef F a fifth below middle C and treble clef G a fifth above middle C).
Students have two minutes to name as many of the notes on one worksheet as possible.
Whether you decide to complete them daily, once a week, etc., or send them home with your private music students, these worksheets will help improve note-naming proficiency while providing you with information on students' progress. They are also perfect for supplies and early finishers!
-1-page "reference sheet" with all 9 notes on the staff that students can use to count up or down to the notes on the worksheets. This sheet also explains that, when notes go higher, we "go forward through the music alphabet", and when they go down, we "go backwards through the music alphabet"
-10 worksheets & solutions (each sheet has 21 notes for students to identify)
-Recording sheet for students to track how many notes they correctly identify on each worksheet
