Pioneers started their journey to Oregon in spring to enable them to get there before winter, so spring is a perfect time to read this book. A calendar is included in this guide, so students are able to mark the progress of their journey -- and to get a visual sense of how long it took.
This guide has been updated and expanded.
This is a two-week literature guide for the book titled Bound for Oregon, by Jean Van Leeuwen. In this book, the Todd family demonstrates true pioneering spirit on their two thousand mile trek.
The mini-guide contains ten sections that include vocabulary exercises, discussion questions, reading activities, life application/Bible connections, and an answer key.
In this version of the guide, space is provided for students to write answers. The guide is also available in interactive format:
Mini-Guide for Juniors: Bound for Oregon Interactive
NOTE: The content of the guide in interactive format and in workbook format is the same; the only difference is spacing.
Mini-guides are designed for homeschoolers, but are also used in schools and co-ops. For more information about Mini-Guides, check the mini-guide page of the CNS website:
