This is a two-week literature guide for the book titled Cabin on Trouble Creek, by Jean Van Leeuwen. This book is based on a true incident; two young boys are left alone in the Ohio wilderness while their father goes back to get the rest of the family.
The mini-guide contains ten sections that include vocabulary exercises, discussion questions, reading activities, life application/Bible connections, and a complete answer key.
This is an interactive guide that enables parents/teachers to facilitate an oral discussion of the book, but it only provides space for one student to complete fill-in-the-blank activities. If you are interested in obtaining Reproducibles that contain all of the fill-in-the-blank activities, check out the following page on TpT: Mini-Guide for Juniors: Cabin on Trouble Creek Reproducibles
1) When you purchase one set of Reproducibles, you have permission to make a copy for each of your students.
2) An Answer Key is not provided for the Reproducible Sheets; the answers for the activities on the sheets are found at the end of the mini-guide.
CNS is working on creating workbooks for some of these interactive guides; the content is the same -- the only difference is that the workbooks contain spaces to write all of the answers. If you are interested in submitting a request to have CNS create a workbook for this guide, contact Chris Roe at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Mini-guides are designed for homeschoolers, but are also used in schools and co-ops. For more information about Mini-Guides, check the mini-guide page of the CNS website:
