This guide was updated and expanded in April of 2018.
This is a two-week study for the book titled Carolina's Courage, by Elizabeth Yates. In the historical fiction story related in Carolina's Courage, readers get a true picture of courage as the Putnam family travels west in the mid 1800s.
A mini-guide contains vocabulary activities, discussion questions, reading and extension activities, and a complete answer key.
This is an interactive guide that enables parents/teachers to facilitate an oral discussion of the book, but it only provides space for one student to complete fill-in-the-blank activities. If you are interested in obtaining Reproducibles that contain all of the fill-in-the-blank activities, check out the following page on TpT:
Mini-Guide for Juniors: Carolina's Courage Reproducibles
1) When you purchase one set of reproducibles, you have permission to make a photocopy for each of your students.
2) An Answer Key is not provided for the reproducibles; the answers for the activities on the reproducibles are found at the end of the mini-guide.

CNS is working on creating workbooks for many of the interactive guides; the content is the same -- the only difference is that the workbooks contain spaces to write all of the answers. If you are interested in submitting a request to have CNS create a workbook for this guide, contact Chris Roe at: firstname.lastname@example.org
