This guide was updated and expanded in January of 2017.
This is a two-week literature guide for the book titled Gentle Ben, by Walt Morey. In this book, a boy named Mark buys an Alaskan brown bear.
The mini-guide contains ten sections that include vocabulary exercises, discussion questions, reading activities, life application/Bible connections, and an answer key.
This is an interactive guide that enables parents/teachers to facilitate an oral discussion of the book, but it only provides space for one student to complete fill-in-the-blank activities. If you are interested in using this guide with more than one student, check out the options:
1) Reproducibles (contain all of the fill-in-the-blank activities):
Mini-Guide for Juniors: Gentle Ben Reproducibles
2) Workbook (you do not need the Reproducibles if you purchase the workbook version of this guide):
Mini-Guide for Juniors: Gentle Ben Workbook
The content in the interactive format and the workbook format is the same.
NOTES - about the reproducibles:
1) When you purchase one set of reproducibles, you have permission to make a copy for each of your students.
2) An Answer Key is not provided for the reproducibles; the answers for the activities on the reproducibles are found at the end of the mini-guide.
Mini-guides were originally designed for homeschoolers; they are also used in schools and co-ops. For more information, click on the link:
