This is a two-week study for the book titled Paddle-to-the-Sea, by Holling Clancy Holling. The author tells the story of the adventures of a canoe named Paddle as it travels from a cabin near Lake Nipigon in Canada to the ocean.
A mini-guide contains vocabulary activities, discussion questions, reading activities, extension activities, and an answer key. This guide also contains more than 70 links for related learning.
This is an interactive guide that enables parents/teachers to facilitate an oral discussion of the book, but it only provides space for one student to complete the fill-in-the-blank activities. If you are interested in using the guide with more than one student, check out the options:
1. Reproducibles: Mini-Guide for Juniors: Paddle-to-the-Sea Reproducibles
a) When you purchase one set of reproducibles, you have permission to make a copy for each of your students.
b) The reproducibles are intended to be used with the mini-guide, so an Answer Key is not provided; the answers for the activities on the reproducibles are found at the end of the mini-guide.
2. The guide is also available in workbook format (you do not need the reproducibles if you purchase the guide in workbook format): Mini-Guide for Juniors: Paddle-to-the-Sea
The content of the interactive guide and the guide in workbook format is the same.
Mini-guides are used in home schools, co-ops, and traditional schools. Click on the link to browse through all of the mini-guides for juniors: Mini-Guides for Juniors.
