This guide was expanded and updated in August of 2016.
This is a mini-guide workbook (a two-week literature study) for the book titled A Family Apart, by Joan Lowry Nixon. In this book, children are sent West on an orphan train when their widowed mother is unable to care for them.
The mini-guide contains vocabulary exercises, discussion questions, reading activities, life application/Bible connections, and a complete answer key.
In this version of the guide, space is provided for students to write answers.
