This guide was updated and expanded in December of 2016.
This is a mini-guide (a two-week literature study) for the book titled Otto of the Silver Hand, by Howard Pyle. In this book, Otto must -- after a childhood in a monastery -- return to his father's warring household.
The mini-guide contains vocabulary exercises, discussion questions, reading activities, life application/Bible connections, and a complete answer key.
This is an interactive guide that enables parents/teachers to facilitate an oral discussion of the book, but it only provides space for one student to complete the fill-in-the-blank activities. If you are interested in using the guide with more than one student, check out the following options:
1. Reproducibles -- they contain all of the fill-in-the-blank activities:
Mini-Guide for Middlers: Otto of the Silver Hand Reproducibles
a) When you purchase one set of reproducibles, you have permission to make a copy for each of your students.
b) An Answer Key is NOT provided for the reproducibles; the answers for the activities on the reproducibles are found at the end of the mini-guide.
2. Workbook format -- space is provided for students to write answers. The content of the guide in workbook format and the guide in interactive format is the same; the only difference is spacing. If you purchase the guide in workbook format, you do not need the reproducibles.
