This is a mini-guide (a two-week literature study) for the books titled Let the Circle Be Unbroken and The Road to Memphis, by Mildred D. Taylor. These books continue the story of the Logan family that readers discovered in Ms. Taylor's previous books (The Land, The Well, Song of the Trees, The Friendship, Mississippi Bridge, and Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry).
The mini-guide contains vocabulary exercises, discussion questions, reading activities, life application/Bible connections, and a complete answer key.
This is an interactive guide that enables parents/teachers to facilitate an oral discussion of the book, but it only provides space for one student to complete the fill-in-the-blank activities. If you are interested in using the guide with more than one student, check out the Reproducible sheets -- they contain all of the fill-in-the-blank activities: Mini-Guide for Seniors: Let the Circle Be Unbroken and RtM Reproducibles
1) When you purchase one set of Reproducibles, you have permission to make a copy for each of your students.
2) An Answer Key is not provided for the Reproducible Sheets; the answers for the activities on the sheets are found at the end of the mini-guide.
CNS is working on creating workbooks for some of the interactive guides; the content is the same -- the only difference is that the workbooks contain spaces to write all of the answers. If you are interested in submitting a request to have CNS create a workbook for this guide, contact Chris Roe at: email@example.com
Mini-guides are designed for homeschoolers, but can be used in schools and co-ops. For more information about Mini-Guides, check the mini-guide page of the CNS website:
