This is a lesson that includes links to videos, directions, and activities that will help students add detail and description to their writing. This lesson is designed for approx. an hour long class and can easily be adjusted to take up more or less time. The goal with this lesson was to help students understand that writing about smaller moments and adding details to those moments can help them make their writing more interesting and engaging. By writing a moment in slow motion, even the most boring tasks can seem very interesting because of the detail and description that can be added to the writing.
Bonus: I also included links to extra videos and descriptions for other tips and tricks to improve writing. These are not specifically related to this lesson but were other videos I used in class to help students find ways to improve their writing.
