This is a great activity to use during an Olympics unit, during a measurement unit, or for an end of year activity.
The students use the given data sheet to record their estimated and actual measurements as they move from center to center. Place the task card, along with needed materials at each center (see task cards for needed materials). Students follow the directions on the task card and then move to the next center when cued.
**It is recommended to print the task cards and laminate them for future uses.
There are “medals” that can be awarded to the students with the lowest score in each category. (Their score is based on the difference between their estimated and actual measurements, regardless of which is more or less). There are also 3 additional generic “medals” that can be used for any additional awards.
