The 36 sight words included in this pack are words which overlap in Dolch and Fry sight word lists, with the exception of the word love.

Sight Word Sentence Frames: Each page includes a set of four related sentences. Sentence frames are an appropriate instructional strategy to use with emergent readers, especially English language learners. This activity will help students use the words in contextualized, meaningful ways.
Mini Sight Word Passages The sentences included in the Sight Word Sentence Frames are written in paragraph form in 10 Mini Sight Word Passages! These can be used as a way for students to self-assess their work. Students will read the passage three times. They will draw a picture to show comprehension. Each passage includes a visual of a key tier 1 vocabulary word to aid in students’ understanding of the text.
I’ve included 10 BONUS Mini Sight Word Passages so that you can provide your students with more repetitive practice using the 36 sight words. There are two passages per page, in order to save paper!
Scrambled Sentences: This activity includes word cards for 10 of the Mini Sight Word Passages in this pack. Copy these onto colored card stock and laminate for durability. Students will unscramble the sentences and record the words in order. I have included 3 different recording templates.
Sight Word Sentence Building: This activity will be a hit in your classroom! Students will be challenged as the try to create sentences that make sense within the parameters set. The challenge is that the sight words are strategically placed and need to remain in that position. Your students are sure to enjoy this challenging activity!
This pack can be used with Kindergarten, first grade, second grade, and even struggling third graders!
