This guide was updated and expanded in October of 2016.
This is a two-week study for the book titled The Light at Tern Rock, by Julia L. Sauer. In this book, Ronnie and his aunt provide relief for a lighthouse keeper for two weeks in December. Ronnie loves the lighthouse, but he is looking forward to being home for Christmas.
This interactive guide contains ten sections that include vocabulary exercises, discussion questions, reading activities, life application/Bible connections, and an Answer Key.
The interactive guide enables parents/teachers to facilitate an oral discussion of this book, but it only provides space for one student to complete fill-in-the-blank activities. If you are interested in using the guide with more than one student or you want your student to have space to write all of the answers, check out the following options:
1) Reproducibles (contain all of the fill-in-the-blank activities):
Mini-Guide for Juniors: The Light at Tern Rock Reproducibles
2) The guide is also available in a workbook format; in this format there is space for students to write all of the answers:
Mini-Guide for Juniors: The Light at Tern Rock Workbook
(if you purchase the guide in workbook format, you do not need reproducible sheets)
NOTE: The content in the interactive guide and the workbook guide are the same.
Mini-guides were originally designed for homeschoolers; they are also used in schools and co-ops. For more information about Mini-Guides, check the mini-guide page of the CNS website:
