This is a fun project that takes about 20-30 minutes per book, designed for kids Pre-K -
Kindergarten. Students are introduced to a new comparative term (e.g., “shorter”) or
superlative term (e.g., “biggest”) each book. Books begin by teaching the concept through
pictures, which the students can color, and then test comprehension by giving the student
a direction containing the concept (e.g., “put an X on the biggest animal”).
Each book is a single sheet of paper divided into 8 sections.
When the student has completed coloring the sections, the paper is folded into a “book”
that he/she can take home.
There are 14 comparative and superlative words taught, including:bigger, fewer, longer, more, shorter, smaller, taller
biggest, fewest, longest, most, shortest, smallest, tallest
