"Wire Cutters" is an award winning film about two robots who meet while mining on a desolate planet. They decide to work together and their combined talents pay off, until they begin fighting over the resources that they are collecting.
This set of standards based lessons includes an examination of character, conflict, theme, and the identification of the Notice and Note signpost AHA Moment. Students will explore comparisons between the situations in the film with those in the novel "The Wild Robot" through discussion activities, graphic organizers, and the essential question: How does conflict influence an individual’s decisions and actions?
