Try out my best selling Minimal Pairs Smash Mats for Articulation and Phonology with this FREEBIE! Includes one mat from all 5 sets- Gliding, Fronting, Stopping, Cluster Reduction, and Final Consonant Deletion. These can be used with teletherapy/ distance education as well!
These mats are a great option to keep students' hands busy while they work on using their target sounds in words! You can use these products two ways- as a "Smash Mat" with play dough, and/or as a worksheet to color and send home.
The mats can also target fine motor skills, as the student can draw lines between the minimal pairs before "smashing" the play dough on each picture. When using for teletherapy, simply use drawing tools to draw lines between the minimal pairs.
All targets have pictures, with words included above each picture to encourage literacy development. Great for non-readers! Most words are high-frequency words to encourage carryover.
Included Smash Mats:
Fronting : 1 mixed sounds ("sh", /k/, /g/) mat
Stopping : 1 initial "sh" mat
Cluster Reduction : 1 /l/ blends (/pl, bl, cl, gl, fl/) mat
Final Consonant Deletion : 1 mixed final consonants mat
