Data binders are a great way to organize student work, as well as a form of communication between home and school. Students can organize their weekly assessments and track their achievement data on the included graphs. Send the binder home with students at the end of each week. Parents review the new data and reflect with their child on his or her progress. Parents sign the form and write a comment on the reflection page and return the binder on Monday. This is a great way for students and parents to take ownership over learning and there will be no more report card "surprises".
The graphs included are designed to be used at any grade level. The letter to parents is tailored for second grade and includes two different versions. The numbers graphed are percentages so that they work with any test, no matter what the point value is. Graph titles include Spelling scores, Math scores, Language Arts scores and two Blank score pages. Every page includes a little bit of Minion flair.
The product includes both a PDF version and a PowerPoint editable version. However, if you open the PowerPoint version, the layout will change. I use a special font similar to the Despicable Me movie font that will not show on your computer unless you open the PDF version.
