5 Math Games


This is a set of 5 math games.One for number identification 1 – 6, one for number identification 1 – 10, one for number identification 11 – 20, one for number words one – ten, and one for addition through 12. A spinner is used for 3 of the games and dice for 2 of the games. The spinners are provided. The answers to the game can be covered with a unifix cube or clipped with a clothespin.

Number Identification 1 – 6
The children will each have a gameboard and markers (unifix cubes) or clothespins. They will take turns rolling a 1 – 6 dot die. They will count the dots on the die, tell how many, and cover or clip the number that shows how many dots. If the child roll a 6, they get an extra turn. If they roll a number that is already covered, they do nothing. The child that covers or clips all of their numbers first wins or the child that has the most covered when time is up wins.

You can also play all of these games the same way but with 1 board and each child having a different colored unifix cube or clothespin.

Number Identification 1 – 10
Play this the same as the game above but use the 1 – 10 spinner provided.

Number Identification 11 – 20
Play this the same as the game above but use the 11 – 20 spinner provided.

Number Word Identification 1 – 10
Play this the same as the game above but use the 1 – 10 spinner provided.

Addition
The children will roll 2 dot cubes, add the dots on both cubes, and cover or clip the number that shows the sum. If a child ges doubbles, he/she gets another turn. If they roll a number that is already covered, they do nothing. The child that covers or clips all of their numbers first wins or the child that has the most covered when time is up wins. For higher level children, have them use 2 numeral cubes instead of dot cubes. Give them a number line if needed.
