It's HOT where we live in June, but we can have cool days as well. This makes it hard to plan an end-of-the-year "Field Day" because if it's hot, the kids want water games, but if it's cold, everyone's miserable.
So, last year the 4th and 5th grade teachers (8 of us)put on a "Minute to Win It" Event. With parent help, we had 20 stations going.
The kids had punch cards (included in this file), and had to try all of the events before they could try a second one another time. If they were successful, they earned a sticker on their card.
Some of the events were in classrooms; some were just outside the rooms in our courtyard & at the end of the buildings.
The kids had a ball and nearly every one told me that they liked it better than a field day.
