For intermediate-advanced EFL/ESL students. This was made for an English club at a university Japan, but can be adapted for your students.
First, introduce the word "stereotypes". In small groups, have students brainstorm stereotypes foreigners may have about their country.
Then, have students discuss what they think America and Americans are like.
Pass out discussion worksheet and students discuss whether they think each statement is true or false. At the end of class, the teacher clarifies the answers and misconceptions.
