This is a two page handout that goes along with the Miss Representation DVD or Amazon Video. There are 4 questions to answer before the video, an activity to complete as they watch the video, and six critical thinking questions to answer after watching the video. This lesson with the questions and discussion before and after the video took me a solid three days (55 minutes each day). It was designed in Word and can be adapted to your classroom. I HIGHLY recommend this video for anyone in our society!
Miss Representation (87 min; TV-14 DL) uncovers a glaring reality we live with every day but fail to see. The film exposes how mainstream media contribute to the under-representation of women in positions of power and influence in America.
