These companion pages go with Michael Garland’s “Miss Smith and the Haunted Library”, which is a fun picture book about creepy characters coming alive from book pages as the librarian reads. The pages inside this packet cover the skills plot diagram, cause/effect, and story elements. There is a page that has students research a creepy character or work on some “ghostly” grammar. A creative writing page is included too that has students describe what a day with a creepy character may be like. Some of these pages can be compiled together into a lapbook. Inside the product is a lapbook example and a rubric for grading too. Your students will have fun exploring this book with these pages!
