The 43-page packet contains complete lesson plans and activities for 3 sessions. The focus is on literacy based intervention and enrichment for language development, and provides fun, engaging, and interactive, activities for learning new information, using prior knowledge, vocabulary development, synonyms, oral narrative, story retell, and sequencing. Included are two games--one targeting comprehension and wh-questions (“Come to the Tea Party”), and the other for generating synonyms for vocabulary words from the text (“Munch a Bunch”). Templates and directions are provided for two craft activities for direction following, sequencing and vocabulary reinforcement (a spider and a butterfly).
The activities are designed to be used with the book “Miss Spider’s Tea Party” by David Kirk. It is not included, but must be purchased separately.
