I keep a binder in my classroom with an "I Didn't Do My Homework" sheet for each student. When a student doesn't complete an assignment, the student or I will record the date, name of the subject and assignment and the reasoning for the missing work. This is a nice form to have all missing assignments in one place.
1 – It’s finished, but I didn’t bring it to class.
2 – I CHOSE not to do my homework.
3 – I FORGOT to do my homework.
4 – I didn’t have the appropriate materials.
