Missing May by Cynthia Rylant is a low prep novel study. This Missing May product includes a wide variety of reading comprehension activities. The novel provides many opportunities to talk about the meaning of family, relationships, and coping with loss.
It is also a great mentor text to use for descriptive writing and figurative language. There are many activities from which to choose depending on the reading level of your students.
