Children place a single numbered disc into the blank space on each card in order to complete the counting sequence.
The missing number cards contain all the number combinations from 0 to 20 in both the forwards and backwards counting sequences.
The numerals in this resources are in the Queensland Beginner’s Font.
Designed for but not endorsed by the Australian Curriculum Foundation Year Number and Algebra Content Description: Establish understanding of the language and processes of counting by naming numbers in sequences, initially to and from 20, moving from any starting point (ACMNA001)
This resource has been designed to be printed onto A4 paper or card. Each A4 sheet contains 4 missing number cards.
I use these cards in my Prep classroom. I purchased some small natural wood slices and wrote the numerals 0-20 with a permanent marker onto some of the discs. You can make your own discs by sawing slices from a tree branch and then sanding them.
I have included single discs with the numerals 0-20 at the end of this resource. These can be printed, cut out and used instead of the natural wood slices if you prefer.
