This product includes 1 word search puzzle and 1 answer key, which contain terms relating to the Missouri Compromise. The answer key is highlighted according to color: red = horizontal words, yellow = vertical words, and teal = diagonal words.
Students are asked to find and circle words in the puzzle using a word list. Words may be vertical, horizontal, diagonal, forward, or backward. A black and white picture of a map showing the Missouri Compromise is found at the top, right-hand corner of the word search page.
Our original Westward Expansion puzzle is written primarily for grades 4-5. Use it after history lessons, before unit quizzes and tests, during morning work, as homework, as a bell ringer, as assessment, or as handouts for substitute teachers. Also, it’s the perfect activity for early finishers and ESL students.
