This bundle pack is full of mitten activities to use this winter.
The 7 activities that are included in this bundle are:
-Mitten Alphabet Match
This center is great for working on letter recognition and beginning sounds. There are two options. Children can either match capital and lowercase letters or match a capital letter to a picture with that beginning sound. There are also 4 worksheets to work on with both of those skills.
This center is great for working on opposites and would be perfect for center work or a pocket chart. I have included several options for you in this pack. There are 21 different pairs of opposites. They come on multi-colored mittens with and without words and on single colored mittens with and without words. The set that has multiple colors of mittens will help children who are just beginning with this concept. They will be able to narrow down their choices easier.
-Mitten Number Match
This center is great for working on numbers with the use of ten frames. Children pick a mitten and determine how many dots are in the ten frame. Then they will find the mitten that has that number to make a pair.
This includes 30 sets of rhymes. Children will find two mittens that match. Add as many or as few to the center based on their skill level. To see a complete list of the rhymes, click on the link above.
-Mitten Count and Clip
This is an easy to use center. Print, laminate and place in a math center. Children can either clip the number of dots on the mittens or circle with a dry erase marker. Numbers 1-10 are included.
-Colorful Mittens Emergent Reader
This is perfect for beginning readers. Each page has predictable texts as it goes through all the different colors that the mittens are. Colors included are: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink, gray/grey, brown, and black.
-Mitten Comparing Numbers
Another easy to use center. Print on colored paper for an added *pop* and laminate. Children will then choose a card, and clip the side that has more mittens. 16 cards included.
