What educators are saying
The students had fun learning about the different parts of speech while connecting to the story "The Mitten."
Description
This is a sort to use in the classroom when working on the different parts of speech: nouns, adjectives, and verbs.
Students take each mitten card with a word on it and sort it under the large mittens labeled "noun/adjective/verb." Once they have sorted all 72 cards (24 of each type of speech), they can then either check their answers using the full page answer key or the mitten answer keys OR they can complete a sheet to turn in for assessment. On this sheet, you put the words on the small mittens under the correct part of speech columns (nouns - boy, girl, etc. - adjectives - cloudy, icy, etc. - verbs - bake, sleep, etc.).
I sincerely hope that you all can use this sort game for years to come in your classrooms.
Thanks for coming by my store!
