Here is a great way to reinforce your sight words!
To do this activity:
Cut apart each sentence so that the words for each sentence are still together.
Give students a sentence with the matching picture.
Students read the sentence.
Then cut apart the words.
Mix up the words and make a “silly sentence”.
Students then read the “silly sentence”.
Now they fix the sentence by putting the words back in the correct order.
Finally they glue down the words in order along with the picture on a half sheet of paper.
Put all pages together for a class book and place it in your classroom library!
The students will LOVE rereading their books!
(This activity can be done whole group as well as in small group with
your Guided Reading groups.)
The sight words used in this set are: I, am, at, can, go, is, me, my, see, the, to, up, we he, she as well as 10 color words!
