Do your students need help identifying mixed fractions? Here is a fun activity to practice identifying mixed fractions!
Before students can add and subtract mixed numbers, they will need practice in identifying the mixed numbers. This game will provide them with that practice. Also good for RTI groups to review mixed fractions.
I've taken the idea of Roll, Say, Keep that is often used with younger students to provide an opportunity for older students to play the game. Students roll a die and find the card on the matching numbered square (on game board) and identify the mixed fraction. If correct, they keep the card. If not, it stays on the board. The winner is the player with the most mixed fraction cards at the end of the game/time.
