Would you like to show your students how to create eye-catching Mixed Media art works using effective color schemes? Included in this lesson are:
**Complete lesson with standards/objectives/materials, vocab, resources, etc.
**Resources--Color vocabulary handout
**Worksheet--I have a few image examples and have left the rest blank so you can use your own image examples
This is a very effective worksheet on showing students how to critique art works which will help them to gain confidence in using both color schemes and the elements and principles effectively in their creations. It's a great worksheet on using those higher level thinking skills and incorporating them into their own work later on.
Students will learn how to think critically by critiquing Mixed Media paintings using color schemes and the elements and principles of design and what really works well.
I've included a few examples of my student's work to show you how I use these. You can easily adapt this worksheet with your own images (questions are spaced out for room for images). 3 pages in length. I use this at the beginning of my Mixed Media class to show the students how to effectively use color schemes with the elements and principles of design in their work. It has worked out very well and they would refer to it again and again if they were still stumped on how color theory works, etc.
**NOTE: Not included is my Color Theory powerpoint (you can find this in my TPT store, too). It was too long to add it since it has 21 slides, so I've attached it separately.
