No more rote practice! Your students will love converting improper fractions to mixed numbers with this Bingo game.
Teacher prep is as simple as it comes - just choose the style of game board you like (7 styles are included, including color and gray scale) and copy one per student. Alternatively, you could print in color, laminate or stick in a plastic sleeve, and use again and again with Expo marker. Students customize their own game board by copying the mixed numbers at the bottom of the page into different squares on the Bingo board.
After students customize their own boards, the teacher reads aloud an improper fraction from the call sheet (or answer sheet). Students convert the improper fraction that the teacher called out into a mixed number on a separate sheet of paper. ***It’s important that you make sure students have separate scrap paper - there isn’t enough room on the Bingo board to convert!*** Once the student converts to a mixed number, they cover that number with a chip on their Bingo board. First to get five in a row wins!
