This math activity is a great way for students to practice converting between mixed numbers and improper fractions. Students select three cards each and find the equivalent mixed number or improper fraction to the three cards in their hand. Then students take turns picking cards out of each others hands. When they find a match for one of the cards in their hands they place it down and pick another card from the pile. The game continues until one player is left with the "Mr. Fraction" card. The student without the "Mr. Fraction" card is the winner. This is perfect as a math center activity or as a wrap up to a lesson on mixed numbers and improper fractions.
