These were created based on 5th grade Common Core standards, but they would be beneficial in 4th or 6th grades as well.
They work great in a math workshop model, but they can also be used individually or as you see fit in your classrooms.
The students will get practice:
Changing from an improper fraction to a mixed number:
Example: Change 34/5 to a mixed number
Changing from a mixed number to an improper fraction:
Example: Change 3 2/3 to an improper fraction
We know that students need lots of practice with this concept and these task cards are a great way to give them that practice in a different way. Both students and teachers are bored with worksheets and that is where these task cards come in to make it a fun way to practice math!!!
