This set of 4 center activities has students look at a place on the number line and see it as a mixed number. It is difficult for my 3rd graders to also see it as a mixed number. When they shade in the mixed number as a model, it is much easier for them to also see it as an improper fraction. This is a great activity for centers, partner work, independent work or for assessments.
