Leveled assessment for a separation. I am using this product in my classroom after my students perform a particle size separation of Trail Mix. We will also make a Kool-Aid solution that day which is referenced in the assessment.
Standard's Based Grading Scoring Guide:
Level 1: Multiple Choice Question
Level 2: Open-Ended short answer
Level 3: Rubric Scored Open-Ended Response
Incorporates physical properties!!!
To be used with Connecticut Science Standard:
C.3 Explain how mixtures can be separated by using the properties of the substances from which they are made, such as particle size, density, solubility, and boiling point.
