PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Let's have a Birthday Party to celebrate the birthday of August Ferdinand Möbius (MeR-bee-us) November 17, 1790 with a fun diversion for your students.

The activity includes background information related to the discovery of the Mobius Strip to help explain the one-sided concept. There is an exploration activity for students which includes two different templates for creating the strips, and a student recording sheet. You will find a full description of preparation tips and discussion questions. As an added bonus, there is also an exploration of Pencil Topology With Euler’s Theorem. This separate assignment investigates networks that have both even and odd vertices. Some of the networks are traversible while others are not. A key is also included for time-saving set up. You will also find three VIDEO LINKS to different "You Tube" videos that are related to topology, Mobius strips, and Klein bottles.
