Description
This has been one of the most impactful lessons I have created, namely because I still periodically hear from former students about how this activity helped them secure their coveted jobs.
This activity is a simulation in my book, "You're Gonna Need a Bigger Wallet." The entire book's .pdf can be purchased at a discount from my TPT store at the following link: https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Book-About-Hands-On-Financial-Literacy-Simulations-for-Teens-Young-Adults-3047053.

Background: you as the teacher will serve as the manager/interviewer for either a fictitious company or a real-life company. You will interview a minimum of three students during a group interview. Students in the audience will learn from their peers (i.e. the interviewees) about what to do and what not to do in interviews. The student discussion/reflection at the end is probably the most enriching part of this activity.
Instructors will receive the following:
1. Job interview instructions.
2. List of commonly asked interview questions
3. Student notes for the audience members who are not participating in the group interview.
4. Job Interview Tips
5. Job interview seats diagram

Excellent Resource for Workforce Education
Great value

These activities served well to help me wrap up our job interview unit.
I use this resource when covering Workplace Readiness Skills. This is a great lesson!
Helpful when teaching my students with disabilities job interview skills.
Worked well with my 11th grade Careers students. Thanks so much!
Such a great resource for performing job interviews! I didn't use every element of this project, but my students absolutely love doing the mock interviews. Sometimes, kids interview as themselves, but sometimes, they will intentionally do a bad interview and it makes it a lot of fun. Great interview questions and I love the sheet about tips to give students when they interview. So while I made a few minor tweaks, this resource is a great place to start for mock interviews.
this is greaT!
Had great stuff to use for what I needed.
