Do you hate to teach economics? Do you need a way to engage students in economic concepts that they see as fun? Well, here's the game for you! I have presented this at multiple schools and conferences around the state of SC and have gotten excellent feedback. By taking on the identity of a "fake" country and determining how they will help their country survive, student groups interact with other groups in trading, buying, and selling products. But watch out...the teacher acts as "natural disasters," "war," or limiting economic policies to restrict the trade process! By the end of the game, the students will literally be able to SEE the impact that countries have on each other and how interdependence exists in our world.
Included in this zip file are the game description and rules, resources (some copying and cutting out will be involved on your part!), and a short video showing the game in action so that YOU will know what it looks like!
Special thanks to TPT User Joseph Jones for his constructive feedback and resource sharing! :-)
