Two day lesson that introduces modal auxiliaries and has students begin practicing together.
The first day (slides 1-6) begins with having a flashback (progressive verb tense).
Slides (2-3) introduce the term and then gives a clear definition of modal auxiliaries. After being introduced to the term students are given a chance to practice using the terms in sentences. The lesson wraps up by having the students complete a two question exit slip.
The second day (slides 7-11) continue working on the students' knowledge gained from day 1.
Students begin with a flashback to review modal auxiliaries. Students then continue practicing on modal auxiliaries that fit in sentences based on what they want to convey. Students end with a two question exit slip.
